EPDM roofing installers

EPDM roofing (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) is a thick single-ply synthetic rubber system installed on flat or very low-slope roofs.

With annual maintenance, EPDM roofing can deliver performance for up to 50 years, resisting tearing, UV degradation from sunlight and hail. It also maintains its elasticity in extremely cold temperatures.

Light-colored EPDM roofing reflects the sun’s heat, helping reduce air conditioning costs. Black EPDM roofing, on the other hand, helps reduce heating costs while also reducing snow load, as it promotes faster melting in sunlight.

EPDM roofing can be installed on new buildings or used to replace an existing roofing system. It can also be installed directly over an existing asphalt roof, making the process more efficient.

There are several installation options for EPDM roofing, depending on the type of building and the local weather conditions. For buildings located in high-wind areas, a fully adhered system provides the highest level of stability and uplift resistance (using high-performance adhesive).

For large open roofs such as big-box stores, warehouses and industrial buildings, ballasted systems are the most common. In addition, installing secure V2T vents creates a suction effect that reinforces the entire roof and keeps the membrane firmly in place.

On installation day, our team prepares the surface by removing any sharp objects or elements that could damage the membrane. We then roll out the material and position it across the entire surface. A relaxation period of at least 30 minutes is required before fastening.

We install a perimeter fastening strip to secure the membrane in place. We then lift half of the membrane to apply acrylic adhesive to the roof using a roller. The membrane is then repositioned and smoothed out. The same process is repeated for the other half. We seal the edges and complete corner flashing. The installation is seamless, ensuring full watertightness.

We then seal roof vents and exhaust units. Finally, we spread aggregate (small white or black stones) across the entire surface.
